This is a delivery voyage, which means we sail where the wind takes us. Depending on weather and progress, there may be a few stops along the way, or we might sail straight across the open sea under a canopy of stars. Either way, you’ll experience what real ocean sailing is all about: the rhythm of the waves, the creak of the rigging, and the satisfaction of working with wind and canvas to drive a square-rigged beauty forward.

You’re welcome to join the crew and take part in the watches, learn to set sails, and steer the ship under the guidance of our experienced crew. Or, if you’d rather sit back and simply enjoy the spectacle of the sails filling and the horizon unfolding, that’s perfectly fine too.

From the Lowlands to Cornwall’s Cliffs

Leaving Den Helder, we head westward across the North Sea, the same waters sailed by explorers and traders for centuries. As we make our way south along the English coast, you’ll get a taste of life at sea: bracing sea breezes by day, glowing sunsets over the waves, and perhaps even dolphins dancing alongside the bow.

When we finally sail into Fowey, the green hills of Cornwall rising around the harbor, you’ll step ashore with sea legs, stories, and friendships forged under sail.

The many sails with their halliards, sheets and many lines requires great teamwork. The trainees are full members of the crew. They are involved in all aspects of life at sea. The sensation of real sailing with a rigged clipper brik breeds team spirit, promotes smooth cooperation and trains functional leadership. That is why we provide Sea Experience trips for various schools, nautical schools and the Royal Netherlands Navy.
