ACROSS TWO SEAS TO SICILY
The Kairós leaves the Croatian coast and sails southwest across the Adriatic to Apulia: about 150 nautical miles to Otranto, on the heel of the Italian boot.
Via the white fortified town of Gallipoli the voyage continues into the Ionian Sea, another 200 nautical miles or so to ancient Syracuse. A relaxed voyage with somewhat longer legs, but also time to swim from the ship and go ashore.

EXTRA INFORMATION
LIFE ON BOARD
The Kairós is a 38-metre steel staysail schooner, built in 2007 in the style of a classic yacht and designed by Klaus Röder. She carries 556 m² of sail and sails as a passenger ship under the Maltese flag. A permanent crew of six (captain, mate-engineer, bosun, cook and two stewardesses) looks after the ship and after you. With eight cabins and at most twelve guests it feels like sailing on a large private yacht. Six A cabins of 10 to 11 m² have a fixed double bed and a private bathroom with shower cubicle; the two B cabins of 8 to 9 m² have a small double bed or bunk beds and a private bathroom with classic yacht shower. Every cabin has adjustable air conditioning, a wardrobe, towels and a hair dryer. On deck there is plenty of room to sit and sunbathe, below deck a cosy saloon with bar. This voyage has somewhat longer sailing legs, but also time to swim from the ship and go ashore. You can lend a hand with the manoeuvres or simply watch, just as you like.
