TWO BALEARIC BEAUTIES

Mallorca has far more to offer than busy beaches. From the water you discover the rugged north coast and hidden bays before the Kairós sets course for Menorca.

Menorca is quieter and more unspoilt than its big neighbour: a UNESCO biosphere reserve with idyllic coves, white fishing villages and the historic harbours of Mahón and Ciutadella. After relaxed sailing days and fine sunsets you return to Mallorca.

THE ROUTE

Mallorca

Boarding in Port de Sóller and along the north coast.

Menorca

Coves with turquoise water and the harbours of Ciutadella and Mahón.

Back to Mallorca

A last anchorage and back to Port de Sóller.

EXTRA INFORMATION

LIFE ON BOARD

The Kairós is a 38-metre steel staysail schooner, built in 2007 in the style of a classic yacht and designed by Klaus Röder. She carries 556 m² of sail and sails as a passenger ship under the Maltese flag. A permanent crew of six (captain, mate-engineer, bosun, cook and two stewardesses) looks after the ship and after you. With eight cabins and at most twelve guests it feels like sailing on a large private yacht. Six A cabins of 10 to 11 m² have a fixed double bed and a private bathroom with shower cubicle; the two B cabins of 8 to 9 m² have a small double bed or bunk beds and a private bathroom with classic yacht shower. Every cabin has adjustable air conditioning, a wardrobe, towels and a hair dryer. On deck there is plenty of room to sit and sunbathe, below deck a cosy saloon with bar. The pace is relaxed: sailing by day from bay to bay or island to island, with time to swim from the ship, go ashore and enjoy the deck. You are always welcome to help with the sails, but you do not have to. The route is indicative and depends on wind and weather.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be able to sail?

No. The permanent crew sails the ship; you may help, but you do not have to.

Do we go ashore every day?

Usually, but wind and weather decide the programme. There is also plenty of time to swim from the ship.

How do I book this trip?
