After the festivities of Oostende voor Anker, the Tall Ship Morgenster spreads her sails once more! Join us for a relaxed 5-day coastal sailing voyage from Oostende to Flushing (Vlissingen). A journey that offers the perfect balance of adventure, sea breeze, and the joy of traditional sailing.

This voyage is ideal for anyone who wants to experience life aboard a real tall ship, explore beautiful coastal waters, and enjoy good company in a friendly, maritime atmosphere.

From Festival to Freedom

As the festival crowds wave us farewell, we set sail along the Belgian and Dutch coasts and most likely visit the UK coast breefly. With the wind as our guide, the Morgenster glides through the Channel approaches and into the North Sea. Sails full, crew smiling, and the sea stretching wide ahead.

Depending on the weather, we may visit one or two charming ports along the way. Think of peaceful harbors, cozy quaysides, and evenings filled with laughter and the sound of waves against the hull.

You’re welcome to join the crew and help sail the ship. Steering at the helm, hoisting the square sails, or learning the art of navigation. But you can just as easily relax on deck, feel the wind in your hair, and let the world drift by.

A Journey Through Maritime History

Sailing toward Flushing (Vlissingen) means retracing historic seafaring routes that once connected Flanders and Zeeland to the world. As we approach the Dutch coast, the sight of the dunes and the Scheldt estuary brings a sense of homecoming, even if it’s your first time aboard.

The many sails with their halliards, sheets and many lines requires great teamwork. The trainees are full members of the crew. They are involved in all aspects of life at sea. The sensation of real sailing with a rigged clipper brik breeds team spirit, promotes smooth cooperation and trains functional leadership. That is why we provide Sea Experience trips for various schools, nautical schools and the Royal Netherlands Navy.
