Ibiza and Formentera

Ibiza and Formentera together are the Pitius iles. It is a subgroup of the Balearic Islands. Because of the rich pine trees, the Greeks gave the name: the `Pine-rich`, today the Illes Pitiüses. Ibiza and Formentera are real beach paradises. Surrounded with natural beauty, we'll discover what this island have to offer.

day 1

You can discover Ibiza and come on board in the port of Ibiza village. You will be welcomed with a glass of champagne. After a tour of the ship and an introduction to the crew and other guests, we have our first dinner on board. We end the day with an evening walk in the harbor.

day 2

After breakfast we have a short introduction to sailing basics. You're very welcome to be involved with all sailing manueuvres. Because Ibiza and Formentera together are smaller than Menorca, we are very free and flexible for the route. Both islands offer a lot of charm and an incredible variety of nature, landscapes and beaches. Today we sail south to Formentera, a holiday island par excellence. Only 82 km², Formentera is large, flat, with 10,000 inhabitants. The island is surrounded by beautiful beaches.

day 3

On the small island of S'Espalmador, 3 km long, 800 m wide, we are anchored and already enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches, partly Caribbean, partly Atlantic. Maybe we will go on a bike ride, depending on your mood. In La Savina there are numerous bikecenters. We cycle to the south, to Platja Migjorn, with 7 km, one of the longest and most beautiful beaches. Swimming in turquoise, clean water, the long and fine sandy beach invite you to take a walk.

day 4

Today we make a nice sailing trip around the north point to Es Calo. With its famous 'boat houses', the beautiful village offers the flair of a fishing village and a relaxed atmosphere.

5th day

Now we are back in Ibiza, the west side, and sailing to the mysterious rock island Es Vedra, with a volcano of 382 meters high, uninhabited and mystical with next to it the smaller sister island Es Vedranell. Together they dominate the southwest of Ibiza. We anchor in the charming bay of Cala d'Hort. Perhaps we take a short walk through the bushes to the Torre del Pirata. A narrow spiral staircase leads us to the tower where we are rewarded with spectacular views of the islands.

day 6

We sail past Sa Conillera, the nature reserve with countless bird species. In the north, the very rural region, there are a few bays that can only be reached by sea or on foot - just right for us. We end the day with a beautiful sunset.

7th day

On the north-eastern tip of Ibiza we anchor in the small Cala de Boix, a beautiful, quiet bay of the island Tagomado. It is a nature reserve suitable for swimming and snorkeling. Perhaps Ibiza city 'Eivissa' is also on the agenda, more than 2500 years old, one of the most beautiful cities on the Mediterranean, colorful, lively, cosmopolitan. Within the monumental city wall are imposing city palaces, steep stairs, narrow streets with good restaurants.

day 8

After the extensive breakfast this journey comes to an end and it is time to say goodbye.
