A unique voyage along the Danish coast

Step aboard the tall ship Antigua for a memorable sailing journey from Wilhelmshaven to Copenhagen.
During this trip, sailing is at the heart of the experience: long days at sea, fresh ocean air, and plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, the ship, and life on deck.

Gesproken talen aan boord: Dutch, German, English

Our voyage begins in Wilhelmshaven and takes us across the North Sea towards the northern part of Denmark. Here, we will try to go through Limfjord, before continuing our journey towards the vibrant city of Copenhagen.

Sailing through the Limfjord is one of the most special maritime experiences Denmark has to offer. This natural fjord cuts straight through northern Jutland, connecting the North Sea with the Baltic. Only a few larger ships can pass here due to the shallow waters – making it truly unique that our vessel is able to do so.
A voyage through the Limfjord reveals beautiful Danish landscapes, picturesque villages, and tranquil anchorages.

The focus of this trip is on covering longer distances under sail. Depending on wind and weather, we may make one or more short stops in charming coastal towns along the way, but most of the time will be spent on open water.

On board, you can choose to take an active part in the sailing or simply relax and enjoy the sea view from the deck. Evenings are spent sharing meals and conversations while the ship quietly makes her way forward.

This voyage is perfect for anyone who wants to log many sea miles, enjoys the peaceful rhythm of life at sea, and is looking for a special way to travel to Copenhagen. It’s the ideal mix of relaxation, adventure, and sailing experience – all aboard an authentic tall ship.

Possible ports of call on our journey are Gothenburg, Aarhus, Helsingborg and Sønderborg.
Each port has its own stories and treasures waiting to be discovered. Experience the beauty of this historic route and enjoy the magic of the old sea routes as you travel with the Antigua. Join us on an adventure as we set sail and bring the past to life.

Note: Wind and weather conditions can significantly affect the voyage. If unforeseen circumstances make it necessary, changes may be made to the itinerary.

Luggage list

2. A passport, if you need it for the planned trip. Otherwise an identity card is sufficient. (inform yourself in advance)
3. Oilskins are not necessary, but a good rainproof jacket, rain trousers and sturdy shoes are always good. Be it for helping on deck or just being outside!
4. Don't forget warm clothing. You never know how long you are outside for. Beautiful moments seem to last for-ever:)
5. A good bok for a bit of solitude or a good parlour game to play together with your fellow sailors.
6. A camera! So that you can capture your memories and share them with those at home.
7. Cash, because here you can only pay your drinks bill in cash. But also think about the currency of the country you are travelling to so you can buy a souvenir.

Tips

Good to know: We have two types of cabins on the Antigua; the standard cabins with bunk beds, shower and toilet and the more spacious comfort cabins with seperate single beds, shower and toilet. There are therfore two different cabin prices on the Antigua. Would you like to travel alone and not share a cabin? Then you can book a single supplement, which corresponds to the normal cruise price + 50%.

"All services that make up your trip are provided by independent suppliers. When you book, you enter into a contract directly with the supplier, the ship, under the booking conditions of this ship. As an agent, our service is to promote the trips offered by the supplier and to act as a facilitator for obtaining a booking agreement between the customer and the supplier. In this, we are always at your disposal with our experience and service.“

Antigua

Bouwjaar 1957

The barquentine Antigua has been sailing European waters for over 50 years. She began life as a UK fishing ship build 1957. With sense of nautical tradition and attention to detail, in 1993 the Antigua was converted to the beautiful tall ship she is today.
